Bruce Trail initially approached Parallel for a re-skin of their old website. When I was in the scoping phase with the development team, we made a hypothesis: it might be irresponsible to simply “skin” the non-responsive site when the target audience might be using it quite a bit on the trail. When we consulted with the client and got more customer data, we realized our hunch was a good one, and it needed to be re-designed to modernize it, accommodate various types of content, and be easy to read on the go!
